Dreams

At night I lie awake,
Tossing and turning,
Thoughts of you fill my head,
A smile crosses my face.

I turn on my side,
Your shadow appears,
I see your face,
I reach to touch you.

As my hand touches your face,
Your image fades away,
I close my eyes,
Your face reappears.

I feel your touch,
I feel your breath,
The smile comes back to my face,
My lips become moist with your kiss.

Every night is the same,
Your face, your gorgeous face, I see,
Our bodies touch in a loving embrace,
It's so wonderful.

Why must I wake?
